Knocking at a new address...!!

From 7 April to 12 may 2014 , the world's largest democracy, India was holding elections. A record of eligibility of 815 million people to vote across 930,000 polling station  nation-wide, with 1,616 national and regional parties competed for places in the 543-seat loksabha, is itself revealing its vastness.
A large number of first-time voters -23 million 18-19  year old alone(and voters between 18-25 years constitute a fifth of the electorate according to Indian election commission, IEC).

Staggering figures aside, this election is mainly about the change-in leadership, in political discourse, and general attitudes and aspirations, this is what reflected in the renounce victory of bjp led NDA. But this victory, along with people's eager to change, reveals some profound cause.
Historically, (from 1947 to 2014) India has been a dominant economy  that supply 30% of world's GDP in the year 1 A.D. as compared to 25% contributed by china. After 1947 we embarked upon socialist route, and with a dominating public sector , hopes were riding high.

A brief outline of 65 year is as follows:
1. We have  been unable to break the zinx of poverty and our per capita income remains a lowly $1450.
2.  Equitable growth has remained partially fulfilled.
3. large scale leakages and corruption undermine all govt. efforts.
4. population has surged and WAP has created a huge demand.
5. pockets of excellence exists in some sector only.

WAP demand ---> inflation ---> loose supply side --->no liberalization in factor market --->  no investment ---> coalition govt. inefficiency..... ...... ...  .....(chain continues...!!)

It was assumed that empowerment through RTI (right to information) and RTE (right to education) will transform the scenario but 3 things went terribly wrong:

                  1. global recession 2008.
                  2. ineffective PM and remote controlled-govt.
                  3. Large scale corruption scandals.

The period from 2009-'13 was, hence, marked by policy paralysis. Almost all the economic indicator took a beating and the economy went in a tales pain.
Since inflation went out of control, RBI had to act tough. Desperate measures brought CAD down to 2% in 2013-'14 from a high of 4.8% in 2012-'13.
India, being a supply constrained economy(as opposed to US,Europe, and Japan),supposed to focus on breaking up coal India ltd. into several companies so that competitively production can be increased immediately. Ironically, we have the 5th largest reserve and we are the 3rd largest importer(such a pity, isn't it...??)
THE TASK FOR NARENDRA MODI NDA GOVT.-->
1. Create a positive sentiment by becoming visible govt.
2. The horrible deficit numbers need to be brought under immediate control.
3. The 3 things close to Mr. Modi's heart are:
         a.)  The 5-F formula
                Farm--Fiber--Factory--Fashion--Foreign
          b.) Solar power
c.) From PPP(public pvt. partnership) to PPPP(peoples public pvt. partnership)

4. Many right based scheme need to be rationalize.
5. The  PMO must assume full power aided by the cabinet and fast acting bureaucracy.

Grow the mfg.-->GDP grows --> employment generation --> world class.

Thus it can be conferred that effective public services, speedy implementation of scheme must be the dictum and most important thing to be acted upon is the liberalisation of FACTOR MKT(land, labour, capital).
Enhancement from the very basics will surely act as a catalyst to remove almost all the obstacles in the way of growth and development. With best wishes let's India shine. ~

Secret to Long Life...!!

Big creatures usually live a long life largely because they have slow metabolism. Some animals lives extremely long lives and surprisingly enough, their skin is what helps them on their journey to old age! However, there is a contrast. The Elephant and the mole rat have extremely wrinkled starting their young lives.
ELEPHANTS evolved from mammoths over 55 million year ago. Today, they are the heaviest land mammals alive and one of the longest lived with life expectancy of about 70 years.

" Haathi mera saathi", no doubt elephant has been a great friend of man.Beside its loyalty it also symbolize mamathness. Its rough, tough and wrinkled skin attracts us(ok-ok scares too..). Although it's remarkably sensitive. An Elephant can feel small flies on its body. For elephants, even young ones, it's an advantage to be wrinkly and not at all a sign of old age. The patterned cervices hold water which travels along them all over the body. Wrinkly skins can retain 5 to 10 times more water than the smooth ones.So moisture collected during wallowing stops the skin from dehydrating and overheating for a long time afterwards.

Their stretched nose is a masterpiece of evolution and key how the elephant can survive with such  a large body. If they hadn't developed a trunk, elephants couldn't have become so BIG. It enables them, in spite of their huge stocky body, to reach down to the ground to collect food and water. The trunk is in fact a union between the nose and upper lip and it's highly sensitive with over 100,000 muscle units in it. The end of the trunk can move rather like a hand. This mobile tip allows the elephant to feel and pick up delicate objects such as a single blade of grass.

The secret to elephant long life also lies in their extraordinary molar teeth. They have two pairs, two at the  top, two at the bottom. As these teeth wear out, they shed. Acquiring new teeth enables elephants well-fed and healthy into old age. Significantly, African elephants that live in hotter dryer places have more deeply wrinkled skins than Asian elephants.
